Case Study Detail

Towing New York – Emergency Call Surge Campaign

Problem / Challenge

The towing company in New York was spending aggressively on Google Ads but receiving inconsistent emergency calls. Many clicks were coming from non-urgent searches like “tow truck jobs” and “free towing services,” leading to wasted ad spend. Competition in NYC was extremely high, pushing CPC costs up. There was also no proper call tracking system in place to measure real inbound emergency calls.

Our Strategy

We rebuilt the account focusing strictly on high-intent emergency keywords such as “24/7 towing near me” and “emergency tow truck NYC.”
Implemented advanced call tracking to measure real-time inbound calls.
Used geo-targeting around high-traffic highways and borough-specific campaigns.
Added extensive negative keyword filtering to eliminate job seekers and low-intent searches.
Optimized ad copy highlighting “24/7 Fast Response” and “Arrive in 30 Minutes.”
Applied smart bidding focused on maximizing call conversions.

Results:

• 2,140 emergency inbound calls generated
• 46% reduction in cost per call
• 4.3x return on ad spend (ROAS)
• 72% increase in after-hours emergency calls
• Campaign became profitable within the first 14 days
